We judge ourselves by our intentions, we judge others by their actions

I always read it as
“judge yourself by your achievements, others by their intentions”

My original quote is a “We do this”. Your quote is (I guess) “We should do this”. As always your mileage will vary and if Ghandi was reading it he would be excused
