Survey nonsense from Edelman   January 30th, 2008

Silicon Republic reports on a Survey from Edelman that tells us that trust in the Technlogy industry is running at 65% but trust in the blogger community is at a lowly 7%.

Given that the  blogger community is dominated by technologists I find those numbers hard to stomach. Perhaps the selection set who gave feedback don’t read blogs?

Coverage of this story in Brazil was amusing as well. Under the guise of plugging the supposed “growing influence” of blogs, the story I read states that while 41% of Brazilian “info-entials” say they read them — which means that a pretty significant plurality don’t bother — only 21% consider them reliable sources of information. Some influence. We find you amusing, we just don’t find you credible.
