Half of Ireland "Computer illiterates"   May 16th, 2008

Silicon Republic announces today “Half of Ireland ‘computer illiterates’.

If this means half of Ireland is computer literate I’d call that success.

I ask the question – how do you define computer literate. What level does a user have to be at in order to be “literate”. Its certainly a hot topic. With a downturn in our economy in the last 12 months there certainly will be lots of money and emphasis put on retraining the nation to try get people upskilled
