Sun has launched a new suite of Datacenter servers based on the AMD Opteron chip (aka x64) called Galaxy
They are hot! (except the run cool)

Well I installed Google Desktop last week and while its a brilliant product when it works it crashed so often I eventually had to uninstall it. Its probably my crappy Windows 2000 installation (two years old and many miles of software) but still and all plenty of other stuff runs just fine.

I watched Channel 4′s The Ultimate Film over the weekend. the top ten was a bit of a shocker for somebody like myself who considers themselves to be a bit of a film buff. Check out number 10, The Seventh Veil, number 9, The Wicked Lady and number 6, The Best Years of our lives. All were produced between 1945 and 1947 and shot the lights out on modern main stream top billers such like Harry Potter, Grease and Jaws.

Interesting new search engine from a UK based company. Previewseek looks to supplant google’s dominance with a better user interface and some more elaborate search algorithms.
